As International Women's Day approaches, the vibrant streets of downtown Waynesboro are coming alive with excitement. This year, Waynesboro's businesses are coming together in a show of celebration, honoring the achievements and contributions of women. From captivating soundbaths to special discounts and showcases of women in history, there's something for everyone to partake in during Waynesboro's first Valley Women's Weekend. Join us as we delve into the heart of Waynesboro's International Women's Day festivities where empowerment, inspiration, and community converge in a spirit of unity and progress.

  • STONE SOUP BOOKS - Book stand dispaying the works of both well known and the unsung female heroes of the literature world. More events to come!
  • BOUTIQUE IN THE BORO - 10% off any purchase and a chance to win a $50 gift card.
  • WAYNESBORO PUBLIC LIBRARY - Display of women's lesser-known history, book displays highlighting women's history and women's voices in literature, and curated book lists to discover more on your own!
  • ADORN. - In honor of Women's History Month the first 19 visitors will receive a 'votes for women' button in honor of the 19th ammendment and there will be tea and snacks throughout the day in honor of the tea party that helped to launch the suffrage movement. Throughout the day there will also be special events including permanent jewelry by Molly Schermer from Temper and True (3-7:00 pm) and a sound bath from 7-8:00 pm to end the day!
  • RUSSELL MUSEUM - Come in for a free self-guided tour with an emphasis of founder Lao Russell, an influential historical figure.
  • WAYNESBORO HERITAGE MUSEUM - Explore the 'Early Entrepreneurs of Waynesboro' exhibit that focuses on the Culton/Johnston family. A number of the women in these families were running their own businesses in the late 1800s through the 1930s.

  • KLINE'S ICE CREAM - It's BOGO! Bring your besite, sister, mother, daughter, ANYONE! and buy one get one free!
  • OFFICE ON YOUTH - Community in Motion will be joining the Valley Women's Weekend from 1-5:00 pm in Constitution Park near the Pavilion. There will be lawn games, coloring activities, and resources on parenting, healthy relationships, and more!
  • SHENANDOAH VALLEY ART CENTER - Enjoy several exhibits by women artists and talk to women artists-in-residence about their processes and their work.
  • REVIVAL DECOR + DESIGN - Join Revival Decor + Design for a curated shopping experience in honor of the many amazing women that have shaped our community with dream boards, raffles, and goodies.
