Donation &
Consignment
Got books?
Whether you're moving, downsizing, or simply weeding out your personal collection, we'll take your books! You can give them to us as a donation, or—if they're books of high value—we can sell them on consignment for you. Either way, we would be happy to find them a home!
Be advised that we do not take:
‣ Books with mold, mildew, or animal/insect damage
‣ Encyclopedias or encyclopedia sets
‣ More than 5 boxes of books at a time

Donation

Consignment
Donating books is easy! Simply pack up your books and bring them to us. If the boxes are heavy, one of our booksellers can help you move them inside the store to our donation cart.
Donated books benefit our community libraries, homeless shelters, and prisons!
If you're looking to consign with us, please be advised of the following guidelines, and fill out the form in the form tab.
-
Consignors receive 50% of the net proceeds of each consigned book. If we sell your books, you will receive a check in the mail!
-
Please label each box you bring us. Write your first & last name, and "consignment" or "C" somewhere on the box, so we know whose books belong to whom and which service we're offering you.
-
Be aware that any books that do not assess as high value will be treated as donations & may be accepted into general inventory instead.
-
Similarly, consignment is not solely assessment. Although we assess your books as part of this service, once they are in our care, they cannot be returned to you.
-
Due to the amount of consigned books we receive, there is currently an assessment wait time of around six months.
-
When you bring us your books, we'll give you a receipt; afterward, a bookseller will contact you regarding your consignment as soon as practicable.
