Let’s get inky! Join Emily Hancock of St Brigid Press for a demonstration of traditional letterpress printing. She will have the “Tiny Mighty Kelsey Press,” a portable hobby press from the 1930s, ready for you to print a keepsake bookmark with vintage wood type!

Poet and printer Emily Hancock lives with her family in the Rockfish River Valley of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. In 2013 she founded St Brigid Press, a letterpress print shop and publishing house. Through the traditional trade-crafts of hand-set metal and wood type, human-powered presses, and hand-sewn books, Hancock offers classic and new texts that highlight social and environmental justice.
