About the Event

In our American cultures, we often speak with conviction and certainty – whether in political, personal, or religious spheres. But what if there is a multiplicity of answers to any single question, or diverse experiences that lead to the greater good? Throughout the Uncertainty Potlucks series, performance artist, songwriter/composer, and former theology student Rachel Austin will offer readings and viewings as prompts for creative responses to the deconstruction of [religious and political] certainties.

The pressure to know is taken off as we come together and, for a mere hour or two, suspend our belief and disbelief. Over the course of several monthly gatherings, we will work towards a public performance offering.

Please bring a potluck dish to share (Mk will be featuring seasonal fare from the Mk/Maia Gaia garden!). Silverware, cups, and plates provided. You may wish to bring writing or other materials for artistic responses.
