Stone Soup's antiquarian bookseller, Allen Hale, has been watching, listening, and enjoying birds for over 60 years. He has conducted breeding bird surveys in Virginia for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, trapped and banded birds of prey in New Mexico and Utah, and leads birdwatching trips to Panama.

Hear Wilson's own words describing some amazing birds and see some of his original books: the 1828-1829 three-volume set of his seminal work "American Ornithology" valued at $18,000!
