Crank by Ellen Hopkins

Follow Kristina (a character based on Hopkin’s own daughter) through a drug addiction to Crystal Meth, also known as Crank. Crank is a novel written in verse poetry, and will keep you turning the pages until you’re finished with it; you may even find yourself
re-reading it.

Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut

In Slaughterhouse-Five, Vonnegut introduces us to Billy Pilgrim, who is abducted by aliens and is taken to the planet Tralfamadore. A science fiction tale, Slaughterhouse Five is one to be read.
