Daydreams

Friday, March 12

Vocalist Nancy Frumen and guitarist Gene Blackmer combine their talents as “Daydreams”, performing old standards from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. Their repertoire includes songs by the Gershwin brothers, Rogers and Hart, Cole Porter, Fats Waller, and Johnny Mercer.
Daydreams has appeared at such area venues as the Beverley Street Galleries, the Staunton Library concert series, the Lions Club at the Gazebo in the Park, Shenandoah Pizza, and frequently entertain seniors in and around Staunton and Waynesboro.

Nancy is a veteran of the musical comedy stage and was formerly with the Timeless Trio in the Washington DC area. Gene’s professional career began at various clubs and lounges in Virginia Beach. He has been a part of the local music scene for the last thirty years as a guitar instructor and back-up musician. Their music will invoke fond memories of a time when music was at its best.

Music begins at 6:15 p.m.
Take-out orders accepted at 5:30.
